Goodbye, Grandpa

I found out that my Grandpa Downer passed away this morning. It was hard news to take but I know that, like my Grandma Downer, he has now gone to a better place. He had recently suffered a hip fracture, and since then has been unable to recover. He was placed in a home a week or two ago because he was completely unable to do anything for himself as his condition had deteriorated, and it was there that he died earlier today. I'm glad that he is where he has wanted to be for the past two years, in Heaven with his wife, my Grandma. He will be missed by all of us. We love you Grandpa, give Grandma a hug for me.
